“Chiba Iodine Resource Innovation Center” (CIRIC) will be opened sooner!

Natural iodine is the only element that Japan can export to many countries. Japan produces 30% of world total quantity of iodine, and Chiba Prefecture produces 75% of total iodine amount of Japan.
Iodine is widely utilized and applied for such as the contrast medium for medical inspection, disinfectant, liquid crystal television, and so forth.
Consequently, in order to utilize this valuable resource of iodine, Chiba University has established to set up the state-of-the-art technology center on their campus, named as “Chiba Iodine Resource Innovation Center” (CIRIC), which can develop and produce high-additive iodine products.
The dedicating developer, Dr. Hisomu Nagashima, of Combustion IC analysis system (YHS-11), has attended the signing ceremony for partnership agreement, which was conducted on February 7, 2018.
CIRIC will be opened by this coming June.
